Welcome! I’m Dr. Carnahan

Psychology Ph.D, Educator, Children’s Advocate

Partner With Me for Training & Program Evaluation

I’m a professor and researcher who loves babies and is dedicated to making their lives better through educational workshops, speaking, and consulting.
In graduate school, I studied the cognitive development of 6 month-olds and developed a deep respect for babies—their curiosity, drive to grow, belly-laugh sense of humor, intense responsiveness, and slow, deliberate thinking speed. My life’s work has been to make their lives better, and I would love to partner with you to make that happen.

My practical experience includes time as a home visitor for babies with disabilities, a child assessment specialist with a hospital based team, and consulting in training and program evaluation for maternal-child programs for 25 years. I’m also a Professor of Psychology and Executive Director of the Hume House Child Development & Student Research Center, a laboratory school near Orlando, FL.
